Best Rift Classes – Best Callings in Planes of Telara Game

Article by Kenny Holder

The highest single-target DPS soul I have found is the Paragon (Warrior). With that said, this is a melee soul and has the least mobility and special abilities of all the souls, so you pay a price for that high damage output. Out of the ranged classes, the Marksman (Rogue) has some of the best damage in the game. Its abilities are very strong and I believe it to be the best single-target ranged DPS class in the game. With that said, a Pyromancer and Elementalist hybrid (Mage) is definitely up there for dealing damage.

The only class which does not have a high-damage option is the Cleric. However, the Cleric when properly talented is one of the best classes in the game for area-of-effect (AoE) damage.

Best Tank: While there are a lot of viable tanks in the game, the Paladin soul within Warrior will be most people’s preference when looking for a tank. This soul has some of the best talents and the Warrior is the only Rift class that can wear plate.

Best PvP Class: While it is hard to specifically select one class to rule in PvP, the a Bard/Marksman hybrid is by far the most effective class I have found. You can get pre-order the digital download of Rift right now from Amazon for 14.99, or fork out $49.95 for the Collector’s Edition. The game is Windows only, and requires a dual core CPU and at least 2 GB of RAM. This is bound to be the MMORPG download of 2011 thus far, so be sure to get it so you can be cool like your friends! No, seriously, it’s good.

If you are looking for the best PvP Rift class, then look no further than the Warrior calling. Whether you want to play solo or in groups, this class should be your top pick for PvP play. In particular, the Riftblade and Void Knight make a powerful combination that can beat any class in the game in a 1v1 match-up. It literally has no weakness, even after a series of nerfs which have been designed to make this class easier to defeat. This class is so strong because the Void Knight is an anti-caster specialist and the Riftblade is an anti-armored specialist. When you put the two classes together, you have a class that takes little damage from physical and spell attacks, can drain mana, and do significant amounts of elemental damage. It is the best class versus Clerics and Mages because it has a variety of magic-damage shields and can drain mana while dealing significant amounts of damage. No class in the game has the same level of mana drains that this ultimate Rift PvP calling has.

Additionally, the Riftblade class does great damage while using plate and a shield. This is a problem because not only does it make the Warrior the anti-caster but it also makes it the anti-melee. It also allows Warriors to equip large amounts of stamina and mitigation gear. Due to the decent, sustained damage output of the Riftblade (even after recent nerfs), players simply are unable to compete with this class in a one-on-one match up.

I really really love the game Rift but if you feel like you need some help and want to level up faster click here
