Rift Mage Souls Explained shows you the magic of the Mage
No other Rift Soul Class can lay claim to the title of ultimate magic wielder than the Mage. True, the Cleric soul class is a magic wielder but only to a limited extent. If you want true magic the way it is meant to be used, then look no farther than Rift Mage souls for a taste of what ultimate magic means. Rift Mage souls explained knows that mage’s have dedicated their lives to the vocation of studying every source of magic. They know the ins-and-outs of every creature, every energy stream, every chant and spell. The Mage is fully committed to researching the various facets of magic and understanding what it would take to perfect a spell or utilize the elements to their advantage.
Understanding how to defeat a Mage or perfecting the skills needed to rule Telara should you decide to take up the Mage calling requires a more detailed look at the combat style of a true Mage. So continue to read Rift Mage Souls Explained. Everything a Mage does is based on magic, hence mana is perhaps the most important resource that a Mage can tap into. Without mana, a mage will not be able to implement even the simplest spells rendering them useless in battle.
Mages also use the Charge Combat System that stacks up to 100 points. When used, a Charge boosts the potency of a spell or chant making them extremely effective against mobs or enemy groups. Over and above this, Mages are excellent at keeping their mana stores up distinguishing them from the Clerics who are mere pretenders in the art of magic wielding. For a mage, Intelligence is the ultimate stat as it dictates how much mana a Mage can carry. With very deep mana reserves, mana regeneration via Wisdom comes as a secondary stat.
Rift Mage Souls Explained will help you understand that all Rift Mage souls excel at fast movement because they are armed by nothing more than cloth armor. A direct hit from, say a Warrior, would render a Mage senseless but that is a task easier said than done. Mage souls are all capable of self-healing and their mobility alone makes them hard targets. What’s better, Mages excel at summoning pets to do their every bidding so instead of targeting Rift Mage souls around the field, enemies are reduced to dealing with a stubborn pet while the Mage calmly deals damage from a distance.
To this end, there are eight souls belonging to the Rift Mage class. Majority of these Rift Mage souls are offensive in nature including the Warlock, the Stormcaller, the Pyromancer, the Necromancer, and the Elemental. Supportive souls include the Archon and Dominator and wrapping up the tally is the healing-centric Chloromancer. The “offensive” Rift Mage souls tag is actually very deceiving as this does not mean a Mage has already sacrificed defense in favor of being offensive much like other Rift souls are. Simply put, the Mage character itself is primarily DPS dealing but the presence of summoned servants like a pet or dead bodies as in the Necromancer make all Rift Mage souls a formidable one-two punch in battle.
Rift Mage Souls Explained shows you that for leveling, an Elemental-Warlock combination deals heavy damage without compromising on defense. Adding Chloromancer grants the character with healing attributes that make it tough to beat. For group scenarios, you can switch from support types if you need a proper balance of offense and defense without preference for any one. If the group needs a damage dealer, go for the plethora of offensive-minded Rift Mage souls. Mages are not to be used as a secondary tank, much less a primary tank, because there is no Mage soul that is designed to take that much punishment.
Do not underestimate the power of a good Mage. Rift Mage souls rule the Planes of Telara by the strength of their wands and you’d be wise to stay away from their path lest they turn you into a rabbit in the blink of an eye.
