Rift Soul Guide ? How To Use Souls To Build The Ultimate Character In Rift
Do you want to learn how to use souls in Rift to build the ultimate character? Rift is a new MMORPG that has introduced a sub-class system or souls that will allow your character to play whatever role you desire. Depending on the combination, you can DPS, tank or heal other players. Below is a nice guide on how to become familiar with all the souls in Rift and how to use them to your advantage.
The Warrior has a total of eight different souls. They are the Paladin, Reaver, Void Knight, Warlord, Champion, Riftblade, Paragon and Beastmaster.
Depending on your combination of these souls, you can either play a tanking role or a DPS role. The Paladin, Reaver, Void Knight and Warlord are your main tanking souls, while the Champion, Riftblade, Paragon and Beastmaster are the main DPS souls.
The Rogue class has a total of seven known souls and is usually used as a DPS character by most players. The souls are: Bard, Assassin, Blade Dancer, Ranger, Marksman, Riftstalker and Saboteur.
Many of the Rogue souls are terrific in group play because they have a series of buffs and healing spells that can tremendously help a party, especially when you are part of a dungeon run.
Each Mage soul controls a different element, which is then used as elemental spells to inflict damage upon enemies. Some souls also have buffing and healing abilities, which makes a Mage play a really good supporting role within a big party.
There are eight Mage souls that you can combine and they are the Archon, Chloromancer, Dominator, Elementalist, Necromancer, Pryomancer, Stormcaller and Warlock. Depending on your combination, you can become a DPS character with lots of AOE damage or a healer/buffing character.
The Cleric is usually used as a healer among parties and is rather weak against all types of enemies. There are some combinations where you can tank and DPS with a Cleric, but it is rare to see a player choosing to play those roles with a Cleric.
The eight Cleric souls consists of the Druid, Shaman, Cabalist, Justicar, Sentinels, Purifiers, Warden and Inquisitor. Most of these souls have different healing abilities, however the Justicar is referred to as the tanking soul of this class.
Knowing all the souls of every class is rather useless unless you know exactly how to combine them to create a good build. Even after knowing how to combine the souls, you will need to learn exactly how to allocate points every level to create the ultimate character.
So how do we know exactly what souls to combine and exactly how to allocate the points to create the perfect build like a pro?
